Stream Setup

Make a stream. Copy the link. Watch.

Go Live gives you the two OBS boxes. Friends use the viewing link.

Quick summary

  • Go Live: copy URL for OBS and Stream Key.
  • OBS: paste them in.
  • Friends: open URL for viewing.

Get your stream

  1. Sign in.
  2. Open Go Live.
  3. Copy URL for OBS and Stream Key.

Viewer links look like this:

rtsp://rtmp.ca:8554/live/otter-panda-42

Sign in if asked.

OBS

  1. Open OBS.
  2. Go to Settings > Stream.
  3. Set Service to Custom....
  4. Paste your server URL and stream key.
  5. Start streaming.

Best settings:

  • Video codec: H.264
  • Audio codec: AAC
  • Keyframe interval: 2 seconds
  • Rate control: CBR when available

VLC

  1. Open VLC.
  2. Go to Media > Open Network Stream.
  3. Paste the URL for viewing from Go Live.
  4. Click Play.

If it stutters, add caching.

VRChat

  1. Join a world with a video player.
  2. Open the URL box.
  3. Paste the URL for viewing.
  4. Submit.

Paste this:

Use whichever works there.
